Big Breweries to Add Nutrition Info to Beer Labels

How many calories resided in that beer you drank last night? What was the fat content, and was it packed with carbohydrates? These questions and several more will easily be answerable by America's beer drinkers in the very near future. The brewery industry's trade association, the Beer Institute, has launched a fresh effort -- the Brewers' Voluntary Disclosure Initiative -- aimed at getting the beverage's makers to provide basic nutrition information right on the can or bottle.
