Obama's Uneven Scorecard On Nuclear

An unexpected and alarming development is occurring in the Obama Administration - the White House wants to eliminate the position of the Director for Nuclear Energy Policy at the National Security Council. This is a bad idea. Abandoning this position will hurt U.S. companies engaged in global nuclear markets, will undercut the effectiveness of U.S. government trade-support programs, and will weaken U.S. nuclear safety, security and nonproliferation goals.
