Texas Rangers Release Josh Hamilton; But Remain Open To Re-Signing Him

This week the Texas Rangers waived former all-star and 2010 AL MVP Josh Hamilton. The once five-tool player has been plagued with injuries, including three knee surgeries since September and multiple trips to the disabled list since reuniting with the team in April 2015 after a trade with division rival the Los Angeles Angels. Hamilton had only appeared in 50 games with Texas since the trade.
